Who knows more?¶
The problem is introduced in a paper on Martin and Chiaki Sakama [CS17]
Setting: trying to work who is most well-informed between two agents.
If accounting for non-monotonic reasoning, we cannot simply compare what is entailed by the knowledge base of each agent. E.g. suppose agent A draws some (defeasible) conclusion, but agent B knows that this defeasible rule does not apply in the situation. Then A’s knowledge base entails more than B’s, but arguably B ‘knows’ more.
Informedness relates to justified belief. It is not good enough to be correct (anyone can be correct by accident), but to have sound reasons for one’s claims.
Informedness: the extent to which one is aware of arguments and counter-arguments relating to some issue (?)
