Goals for this document:

One sentence summary: aim is to investigate methods for resolving conflicts in multi-source information in the presence of unreliable or malicious sources.
Emphasis is on conflicts on factual matters, i.e. we try to find the truth amongst false information
Different problems in this vein:
- Truth discovery: determine trustworthy sources and true facts from structured source, fact, object triples
  - Assumes claims have already been extracted into a structured format
  - Assumes a global notion of trust/reliability
- Fake news detection: detect false or misleading claims in natural language articles
  - Works on unstructured data, a single article at a time
- Determine who is most knowledgable in a particular domain between agents
- Find consensus between conflicting beliefs (as opposed to knowledge) of agents
- Find trust relationships between sources based on their (conflicting) beliefs
